WAYS Elite Drill Team
WHO WE ARE
The WAYS Elite Drill Team of North Texas is a fun, recreational youth program designed to support dancers at multiple levels. This program gives younger dancers foundational exposure to drill team while providing developing dancers with additional opportunities to elevate their technique, formation work, and overall performance quality. Created to be inclusive and encouraging, the program welcomes all participants — no tryouts or prior dance experience required.
We are excited to offer this opportunity to families in all of the Northeastern communities, including Murphy, Plano, Lucas, Parker, Sachse, Wylie, Garland, Richardson, Rowlett, and beyond.
Teams are currently organized by grade level, with plans to introduce city-specific teams as the program grows.
We are proud to be part of the WAYS organization, performing at their tackle football games and other community events throughout the surrounding area.
The official season runs from September through November each year, with additional events before and after the season.

Team Uniforms
1st-2nd Grade: Silver Sparklers

Performances
Each team will perform at up to 8 youth football games, 3 local parades, our pep rally, plus other community events!
NO extra cost for performances throughout our season!
Practices
Teams practice 2 times per week - either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs from 6-7:30pm (depending on what works best for each team).
Practices are held at various indoor and outdoor locations in the surrounding communities.

**Coaches Needed**
All of our teams are coached by volunteers, and we are always in need of Coaches and Assistant Coaches. All coaches must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, and be willing to commit their time and effort to a squad for the entire season.
Coaches do NOT need to have any previous dance experience. Dance choreography and counts are provided by local dance studios & drill team leadership.
Registration may close early if all spots are filled and we can find coaches for new squads. Please consider volunteering your time for the upcoming season.

What is the cost of registration?

When are uniform costs due?
Uniform costs are due at the time of uniform fittings.

Black practice shorts and white socks will need to be purchased:
- ankle socks: 1st-4th grade teams
- crew socks: 5th-8th grade teams
Do you have to live in Wylie to join?
NO!! We accept everyone from the surrounding ISDs and communities!

do you offer return dancer discounts?
YES! We will be offering discounts next season for returning dancers!
What is the age requirement?
Individuals in 1st grade through 8th grade
Team Breakdown?
Teams are currently broken down by grade.
Drill Team Camp Fee?
Camp fees are included in the registration fee.
When will we receive a game schedule?
All game schedules will be released 2 weeks before the first game. The first game is typically the first Saturday after Labor Day.

Each routine is thoughtfully choreographed by skilled dance studio professionals from the surrounding area.

2026 FALL DRILL TEAM
Welcome to the WAYS Elite Drill Team of North Texas Registration. This registration is for the 2026 Fall Drill Team season.
Total cost: $290! Includes the $100 registration fee!
Online registration is required and will allow you to provide us with your dancer's information, contact information, your agreement to consents and policies, and submit payment in full.
There are NO LATE REGISTRATIONS.
*For sibling discounts, please choose the sibling pricing if you have more than one child participating in a WAYS sport during the Fall 2026 season!! *Must have a sibling listed in a current Fall 2026 WAYS sport to qualify. If not, your registration will be considered incomplete.*
*Multisport player: If you or a sibling played Winter WAYS basketball 2026 and are going to play a sport in Fall 2026. *Must have a winter 2026 team listed with the player's name. If not, your registration will be considered incomplete.*
* Acceptance of the participant and parent handbook is required to confirm your registration.
*There are NO REFUNDS once registration is closed.
