Wylie Flag Football-Fall
We’re excited to offer Flag Football for Kindergarten and 1st grade!!
This program is the perfect introduction to football in a fun, safe, and non-contact environment. Kids will learn the basics of the game—like throwing, catching, teamwork, and sportsmanship—all while building confidence and making new friends.
As a nonprofit, our focus is on development over competition, keeping the game affordable and accessible for all families. Every dollar goes back into improving the experience for our young athletes!
Whether your child is new to the sport or just full of energy and ready to play, this is a great way to get them involved!
GRADES
Kindergarten through 1st grade.
- Must be starting Kindergarten in the fall of the current year.
When
The flag season runs from Sept through Nov.
GAMES
Games are played at Jerry Shaffer Stadium in Wylie, TX, on Saturdays. There are 8 regular-season games, playoffs, and a Super Bowl.
Practices
Practices are held 2 times a week for an 1.5 hours each at Founder's Park in Wylie, TX. The coach will determine the days and times of practices.
JERSEYS
Uniforms are included in the registration fee. Uniforms include 2 jerseys, 1 pair of pants, and a personalized drawstring bag.
EXTRA COSTS
Athletes will also need to provide their own cleats, practice clothes, soft-shell helmets, and a mouth guard.

*COACHES NEEDED*
All of our teams are coached by volunteers, and we are always in need of Coaches and Assistant Coaches. All coaches must be at least 18-years old or older, pass a background check and be willing to commit their time and effort to a team for the entire season.
Registration may close early if all spots are filled and we are unable to find coaches for new teams!! Please consider volunteering your time for the upcoming season.
Uniform includes:
- 2 Jerseys-Home and Away
- 1 Pair of Shorts
- Drawstring Bag
*Additional items include: Cleats, soft shell helmet, water bottle, and mouth guards-purchased by parents.

Can nonresidents play flag football?
Due to our transition to United Legacy, we will no longer be able to accept out-of-district players. Moving forward, all participants must either reside within Wylie or attend a Wylie ISD school.
