Program Leadership

• Lead all team practices and performances
• Work with Drill Team leadership to set team expectations, goals, and culture & ensure age-appropriate instruction for the assigned group



Practice & Instruction

• Teach choreography, formations, timing, and performance skills
• Provide clear instructions, corrections, and positive feedback

Communication

• Serve as primary contact for parents
• Communicate schedules, updates, and expectations clearly and timely
• Coordinate with league leadership and staff

Performance Preparation

• Ensure dancers are performance-ready (timing, spacing, appearance)
• Organize run-throughs and final polishing

Leadership & Culture

• Foster a positive, inclusive team environment
• Model sportsmanship, professionalism, and respect
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, and personal growth

Support Instruction

• Assist with teaching technique, choreography, and formations
• Help demonstrate skills and provide individual corrections
• Reinforce the head coach's instruction and expectations
• Lead small groups when needed

Game/Performance Support

• Assist with warm-ups and sideline organization
• Help line up dancers and maintain spacing/formations
• Ensure dancers are ready and attentive during events

Communication Support

• Reinforce messages from the head coach to athletes and parents
• Provide feedback or concerns to the head coach privately

• Arrive on time and prepared for all practices and events
• Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude
• Treat all dancers fairly and respectfully
• Prioritize safety, development, and fun over winning or perfection
• Communicate professionally with parents, dancers, and staff
• Model good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior at all times
